screw to the right moves the reticle to the right.
Turning the
horizontal adjustment screw to the left moves the reticle to the
left.
(7) When the aiming point image is centered in the reticle
crosshairs, use the key wrench to tighten the horizontal adjustment
lock screw.
(8) After tightening the horizontal adjustment lock screw,
check the aiming point image.
It should be centered.
If it is

centered, repeat the elevation linkage adjustment and the horizontal
adjustment described in paragraph 2b(4) through (7) above.

Conclusion
It is important to keep the backup sight correctly boresighted since
it may be the only sighting device available to the crew in an
emergency.
The next task will describe the procedures for
boresighting the night sight to the day sight in the ISU.
