ADJUSTING SUPPORT BEARING.
Step 6.
Install switch assembly (6) on bracket (7) by installing
switch assembly (6), two clamps (10), screws (9), and new locknuts
(8)(refer to figure 17 on page 25).
Step 7. Install jack 1W32J1 (4) on switch assembly plug P1 (5)(refer
to figure 16 on page 25).
Step 8. Install access cover (1) on hull by placing the access cover
on the hull and installing four washers (3) and screws (2) on the
access cover and hull.
Torque four screws (2) to 40 - 50 ft-lb
(6 - 7 m-kg) using a torque wrench (refer to figure 15 on page 24).
Step 9. Close and secure the power unit access door and then raise
and secure the trim vane.

Replace Steering Control Support Bearing. This maintenance task
will cover the removal and installation procedures for the steering
control support bearing.
(1) Initial Setup.
(a) Tools.
General mechanic's tool kit:
automotive.
(b) Material/Parts.
Four lockwashers.
(c) Personnel Required.
BFV systems mechanic.
(d) Equipment Conditions.
Engine is stopped.
