Introduction
In the previous lesson, the general characteristics of the M2/M3 Bradley
Fighting Vehicle (BFV) were covered.
In addition to the general
characteristics, the mission assignment and the basic differences between
the two versions of the vehicle were discussed.
It is important for operator and maintenance personnel to be able to use the
TMs to locate procedures and information concerning the operation and repair
of the M2/M3 BFV. That is the purpose of this lesson: to familiarize the
student with content, format, and usage of the pertinent technical
publications that apply to the operation and maintenance of the BFV at the
unit level.

Manual Numbering System
a.
General. Before covering the format and usage of the TMs that apply
to the M2/M3, we will briefly discuss the type of manuals used for the BFV.
