Ammunition Stowage. This is the final difference between the IFV and

CFV. Since the CFV provides direct fire support for the deployed infantry

troops in the area of operation, it stands to reason that the CFV would

carry the most ammunition.

The IFV's principal role is to provide motor

transport and armor protection to an infantry squad. The differences in the

types and amounts of ammunition carried by the CFV versus the IFV are

depicted in table 1.
