(1) Front wall.
Refer to figure 1-22.
Remove the Ancillary Equipment
Transit Assembly Case (1) from its storage location.
(2) Left side wall. Refer to figure 1-23. Remove the DMD in its backpack
carrying case (6). Remove the AN/VRC-47 radio (1), KY-38 speech secure equipment
(2), AN/GRA-39 radio (3), GVS-5 tripod (4), TA-312 telephone (5), SB-993
switchboard (5), or binoculars (5), as necessary.
(3) Right side wall.
Refer to figure 1-24.
From the right side wall,
remove the LD/R in its backpack (3); the TU and vehicle adapter assembly in the
tripod/TU backpack; the AN/TAS-4 night sight, coolant cartridge case, battery case,
and vehicle adapter cable (5); and the boresight collimator (7). Remove the G/VLLD
tripod (1), AN/GVS-5 laser rangefinder (6), and two GRC-160 radios (2) as
necessary.
d. Install the vehicle adapter assembly.
The vehicle adapter assembly must
be installed to interface with the TU of the G/VLLD.
In the vehicle mode, the
G/VLLD tripod is not used. Install the vehicle adapter assembly into the machine
gun mount as follows.
(1) Refer to figure 1-25. Place the vehicle adapter assembly (1) into the
machine gun mount holding chamber (4).
Push the securing lever (2) ccw to the
holding position against the stop pin (3).
