the ancillary equipment transit assembly case holds up to three spare batteries.

e. LD/R Backpack.
The LD/R backpack provides protective cover for the LD/R
with battery.
Use the backpack for storage and for field (short distance)
transportation.
NOTE:
Whenever feasible, use the LD/R container (NSN 1260-01-126-4479) for
transporting the LD/R.
Always use the container for evacuating the LD/R
to direct support for repair.
The LD/R backpack is a prefitted case designed for easy packing.
It weighs 4.4
lbs., measures 15.5" X 13.0," and is 20.3" in height.
When fully loaded, the
backpack weighs 41.1 lbs.
The LD/R backpack also provides storage for a lens cleaning kit used to clean the
LD/R external optics.
The lens cleaning kit includes a cleaning solution, lens
cleaning tissue, and a lens dusting brush. The backpack has quick-release buckles
to allow rapid packing/unpacking of the LD/R and lens cleaning kit.
