The transmission is installed in a protective container for storage
or shipment. The container has a humidity indicator, an air release
valve, and a desiccant receptacle. Desiccant bags are placed in the
container to absorb moisture. Designed for handling by forklift, the
container's dimensions are 42.64 inches high, 48.56 inches wide, and
44.75 inches deep. The empty weight of the container is 500 pounds;
it weighs approximately 1500 pounds when the transmission is mounted
in the container.
