For this purpose of instruction, follow the YES flow line of the
fault isolation chart to block 3. This block gives instructions for
the engine operation and cable hook up for the next test you must
perform. Following the flow line out of this block, you will find a
safety warning that you must follow prior to the next test.
WARNING
MAKE SURE THE AREA AROUND THE TANK IS CLEAR. THE
TANK COULD MOVE AND CAUSE DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY
To PERSONNEL.
Following the YES flow line to block 4, you find this block contains
instructions for the next test you must perform, and at the end, asks
a question about the voltage the multimeter showed.
The alternate troubleshooting fault isolation chart continues this
process:
It either gives the test procedures, or, depending on the
results of the test, mandates either another test or a corrective
action.
You must continue this troubleshooting process until you
have corrected the fault.
