WARNING
IF THE TRANSMISSION HIGH OIL TEMPERATURE WARNING LIGHT (1)
COMES ON, DISCONTINUE THE STALL CHECK.
COOL THE
TRANSMISSION OIL BY SHIFTING THE TRANSMISSION TO NEUTRAL
(FIG. 1-34).
RUN THE ENGINE AT TACTICAL IDLE (1200 - 1500 RPM) FOR FIVE
MINUTES BETWEEN EACH STALL CHECK TO COOL THE TRANSMISSION
OIL.
DO NOT LET THE CLEVIS (3) SLIP DURING THE STALL CHECK.
IT
MAY CAUSE TRANSMISSION DAMAGE (FIG. 1-34).
Have the driver set the shift control to N; then release
the clevis (3), and let the engine run at tactical idle for
two minutes.
Repeat the steps above at least two more times, for a
minimum for three times, before performing the stall check.
n. Perform the Stall Check. When performing this check, do not
hold the stall condition for longer than ten seconds.
