You charge the G/VLLD batteries with the top
section of the battery charger PP 7286/U, and its associated cables. Charge
up to five batteries simultaneously. Do not attempt to charge a damaged or
leaking battery.
CAUTION
Do not charge batteries while in transit case.
Do not
stack batteries while they are charging.
To charge the G/VLLD batteries with the PP 7286/U battery charger, set the
14€ to 39€ F (-10€ to 4€ C):
300 mA for 19 hours.
40€ to 100€ F (4€ to 38€ C):
700 mA for 7 hours.
NOTE:
Batteries may not hold a charge when charged at temperatures below
32€ F (0€ C).
between 68€ F (20€ C) and 86€ F (30€ C).
CAUTION
Ridged side of the double banana plug goes to the
negative (black) terminal of the battery charger.
Reversing this plug damages equipment when power is
applied.
Connect the battery charger cable between the charger and the battery. Use
the battery discharge analyzer to test the batteries. If a battery, after
it is unserviceable. Discharge and discard unserviceable batteries. TM 11-
6130-392-12 contains complete instructions for using the PP-7286/U battery
charger.
