Every 750 miles, 75 hours, or quarterly change the engine
oil and fuel filter (LO 9-2300-257-12 or LO 9-2350-300-13
as applicable).

Specific Procedures For Unit Maintenance
a. General.
Specific procedures for unit maintenance are the Q preventive
maintenance services which ensure the correct adjustment, securing, and assembly of
all components of the carrier. Necessary replacements, cleaning, lubrication, and
protection of parts and/or assemblies will be accomplished, as required, to give
reasonable assurance of trouble-free operation until the next preventive
maintenance service is performed.
To ensure the complete maintenance of the carrier, many procedures which are normal
operator and crew functions are also included in the Q services because of varying
conditions, such as climate, terrain, and changing assignments of personnel, DA
Form 2404 (Equipment Inspection and Maintenance Worksheet) is used by the unit
corrected, and faults beyond the authorization of the particular maintenance level
to correct.
The item numbers recorded on DA Form 2404 must correspond to the
sequence numbers on the preventive maintenance checks and services for the carrier,
sighting equipment, and armament.
b. Carrier. All unit preventive maintenance checks and services for the carrier
are listed in table 2-2 of TM 9-2300-257-20.
Procedures to be followed for the
powerplant, fuel, electrical, and brake system are as follows:
(a) Engine - PMCS Procedure.
Tighten loose connections and mounting bolts. Adjust the generator drive belts if
the marker on the gage does not indicate that it is in the operating position.
Start the engine, and check that the starter operates without excessive noise
