on all conductors joined.
--
Apply sealing compound to the three screws (7).
--
Put on the cable support cover (6) and secure with the
three screws.
3-43. ACA Diode CR1 removal/replacement.
Removal.
--
Remove three screws (7) and the cable support cover (6).
--
Peel away the plastic coating at the terminals E2 (11) and
E3 (13) with diode CR1 (12).
--
Desolder the diode wires and remove the diode. Note that
the cathode end (with bar on diode body) was joined to
terminal E2.
Replacement.
--
Wrap the diode CR1 wire cathode end (bar) to terminal E2,
and the anode end (plain) wire to terminal E3.
--
Use a heatsink and solder connect the diode to the
terminals.
--
At terminals E2 and E3, apply from 0.02 to 0.08 inch
thickness of staking compound on all the conductors
joined.
--
Apply sealing compound to the three screws (7).
--
Put on the cable support cover (6) and secure with the
three screws.
3-44. ACA Terminal E1 removal/replacement.
Removal.
--
Remove the four screws (29) and the cover (28).
--
Desolder and remove the capacitor C1 (27) wire from the
terminal (26).
--
Unscrew and remove the terminal.
Replacement.
--
Screw in the terminal E1.
--
Wrap the capacitor C1 wire onto the terminal. Solder the
wire to the terminal.
--
Apply sealing compound to the four screws (29).
--
Put on the cover and secure with the four screws.
