q. General Instruction Message Block (1).
When the SETCOM
displays a general message, this block may ask you to answer a
question or tell you to perform an action to the tank or test
equipment. This block also reminds you to press the GO key and tells
you what block number to go to after you have completed the action
required.
r. Cable Instruction Message Index Block (2).
When the SETCOM
displays a cable instruction (e.g.
ASSEMBLE CX304, CX307, AND
CA403/04), this block tells you how to hook the STE to the tank by
referring you to the cable message index.
This block also reminds
you to press the GO key and tells you what block number to go to
after you have completed the action required.
s. Special Instruction Message Index Block (3). When the SETCOM
displays a special instruction message (e.g.
HOLD IRRU AGAINST AN
UNTESTED SENSOR), this block tells you to do a follow-on procedure or
run another test by referring you to the special instruction message
index.
This block also reminds to press the GO key and tells you
what block number to go to after you have completed the action
required.
t. Fault Message Index Block (4).
When the SETCOM displays a
fault message (e.g. FAULTY BATTERY/CHARGING SYS 160009), this block
tells you what component to replace or to continue troubleshooting
with a follow-on procedure by referring you to the fault message
index.
This block tells you how to verify you have solved the
problem after you have replaced a component.
NOTE:

u. cable Instruction Message Index (1). This index gives the STE
SETCOM assemble, disassemble, disconnect, or reconnect message in the
left column and the action you must complete to the tank harness, STE
cable(s), or STE adapter(s) in the right column. When a message in
the index requires a specific voltage reading or a connector contact
indicated by XXX XX, look at the SETCOM for the exact voltage or
connector required.
v. Fault Message Index (2).
This index gives the STE SETCOM
fault message in the left column and the action you must perform in
the right column.
w. Special Instruction Message Index (3).
This index gives the
STE SETCOM special instruction message in the left column and the
action you must perform in the right column.
