i. Position the Hoist Vehicle.
This lesson describes how to
position three authorized lifting devices.
Use the procedure that
applies to the lifting device you use to remove the power-pack.
The M88 hoist.
To position the M88 correctly, place the
M88 directly behind the tank, in line with the tank's
center line.
Make sure the spades (2) are in the stowed
position. Center the sling (1) over the powerpack and lock
the M88's brakes (fig. 1-14).
