GROUND HOP PROCEDURES, M1 ABRAMS TANK

will be performed in accordance with TM 9-2350-264-10 and
TM 9-2350-264-20-1.
INTRODUCTION
As an Army maintenance provider, you have dedicated yourself to
giving the M1A1 series tank the best possible maintenance.
Through
the Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) and scheduled
maintenance you perform, you keep the tank operational. This ensures
that you and your unit can perform your mission on today's
battlefield, and help maintain unit readiness at a high level.

PART A - POWERPACK REMOVAL
1.
Tools and Supplies.
Prior to starting the actual powerpack removal procedures, you must
have the necessary tools and supplies on hand.
a. Tools.
You must have the following tools available at the
work site to remove the powerpack from the M1 Abrams tank. (All item
numbers given refer to TM 9-2350-264-20-1 appendix E, which gives a
National Stock Number (NSN) and reference.)
