Air System Troubleshooting. In the following paragraphs, we will
follow SGT Boyle as he troubleshoots the malfunction AIR PRESSURE
BUILD-UP SLOW and reaches the conclusion that the air inlet check
valve from air reservoir number 2 is defective and needs to be
replaced.
Prior to beginning the actual troubleshooting procedure,
SGT Boyle performs the preliminary procedures that were cited in
paragraph 2c on pages 43 and 44.
After these procedures have been
performed, he is ready to begin the actual troubleshooting procedure.
WARNING
Make sure reservoirs have been drained before
doing any work on air system components. Sudden
release of air pressure from valves, hoses, and
other air system components can cause serious
injury.
