(3) When the designated plug has been installed, remove the
tag.
(4) Once the sensor is installed and the plug connected, the
following steps should be performed to complete the procedure:
(a) If the sensor was being installed on the turret, manually
traverse the turret to 6400 mils.
(b) Install the vehicle ground cable.
(c) Unstow squad seat number 4 (M2 only).

Replacing the Crew Compartment Fire Extinguisher Assembly
Another component that might require replacement is the crew
compartment fire extinguisher assembly.
A helper will be needed to
support the fire bottles during removal and installation.
WARNING
Accidental discharge of the fire bottles could
cause injury.
Remove the vehicle ground cable.
Insert the antirecoil plugs, lock wire, and
safety pins (refer to figure 10 on page 12)
before working near the fire extinguishers.
a. Removing the Fire Extinguisher Assembly.
The procedures for
removing the inner and outer crew compartment extinguisher bottles
are similar, and can be accomplished by following these steps:
(1) Prior to removing a crew compartment extinguisher bottle,
move the FIRE SUPPRESSION switch (refer to figure 9 on page 11) to
MANUAL.
Stow squad seat number 4 (M2 only).
Remove the vehicle
ground cable, and install the antirecoil plug (refer to figure 10),
lock wire, and safety pin on the extinguisher bottle that is being
replaced.
NOTE
The inner extinguisher is accessed from inside of
the turret.
