a. Deactivating the System.
Most fire suppression system
maintenance tasks require that the system be deactivated.
The fire
suppression system is deactivated using the following procedure:
(1) Move the FIRE SUPPRESSION switch (figure 9) to the MANUAL
position.
(2) Stow the squad seat number 4 (M2 only) using the procedures
outlined in TM 9-2350-252-10-1.
WARNING
Accidental discharge of the fire bottles could
cause injury. Remove the vehicle ground cable.
