It is necessary to recognize the components of the fire suppression
system and to understand how they work.
It is also important to
understand how to perform some of the basic maintenance tasks on the
system.
When these maintenance procedures have been mastered, it
will be easier to follow the troubleshooting procedures which will be
discussed in lesson 2 of this subcourse.
