In this troubleshooting task, SGT Haskell is
going to find that the battery jumper/conductor bus lead is
defective.
He will follow only those troubleshooting branches that
lead to this conclusion.
Once again, SGT Haskell gathers his equipment and sets up the vehicle
following the equipment condition section of the INITIAL SETUP of the
troubleshooting procedure.
First, SGT Haskell places the MASTER POWER switch to ON.
He knows
that the volts gage should read in the lower half of the yellow zone
to the green zone. Since SGT Haskell notes that the volts gage does
not read in the lower half of the yellow zone to the green zone, he
moves the MASTER POWER switch to the OFF position. SGT Haskell then
connects the VTM to either DCA 3 or 13 and performs BATTERY VOLTAGE
TEST NUMBER 67. The VTM display indicates a voltage of 24.5 volts.
