CAUTION
Do not get water on electrical pins or connectors.
(2) Clean cables and rubber parts using a mild detergent with warm
water.
Use a clean, absorbent wiping rag to dry the cables and rubber
parts.
WARNING
Dirt or foreign matter on LD/R lenses can cause
scattering of laser light.
LD/R lenses should be
thoroughly cleaned before the G/VLLD set is placed in
operation.
CAUTION
LD/R lenses and night sight lenses are made of glass.
Be very careful not to drop, bump, or scratch them.
Do not use compressed air to clean LD/R lenses or
night sight lenses.
(3) To clean the LD/R lenses, use the lens cleaning kit in the LD/R
backpack.
Blow on the lens to remove dirt.
Rinse the lens using the
solution provided and allow to dry. Gently brush the lens with a swirling
motion to remove any lint.
Wipe the lens with lens tissue dampened with
isopropyl alcohol.
(4) Use the night sight lens cleaning kit to clean the night sight
lenses.
Remove dust and grit by flushing the lens surface with potable
water. Thoroughly moisten a pad of cotton with the lens cleaning solution
and apply to the lens by dabbing lightly until the lens surface is evenly
covered.
Wait 1-to-3 minutes for solution to loosen contamination, then
flush with potable water. Repeat until heavy contamination is removed.
