Work Orders (MWOs) are implemented. The G/VLLD is shipped as a system, with
a vehicle power cable and two spare batteries.
Before unpacking the
equipment, inspect the exterior of the shipping container for damage that
could affect G/VLLD set items. Notify your supervisor if damage exists.
NOTE:
The shipping container is reusable.
Do not discard.
Unpack and handle the G/VLLD equipment carefully.
Rough handling could
damage the optical components.
Do not force levers, knobs, switches, or
controls past their mechanical stops. Inventory the equipment against the
inventory list or packing slip to ensure that the set is complete. Report
any discrepancies in accordance with the instructions in DA PAM 738-750.
Check the stock numbers and/or serial numbers to ensure that you receive the
proper equipment.
After unpacking the equipment, perform an initial inspection of the
components.
Perform any necessary cleaning as described in paragraph 2a.
Use only authorized solvents, cleaning fluids, and other materials specified
for the particular operation. Figure 1-12 lists the steps required for the
visual initial/final inspection.
While inspecting, if you find any
discrepancies, record them on DA Form 2404 in accordance with DA PAM 738-
750.

discharge rate varies with storage temperature.
Verify the charging
interval and storage time prior to issuing any battery.
Do not issue a
battery that has been stored more than ten days since charging.
If the
storage temperatures are above 70€ F (21€ C) or below 32€ F (0€ C), do not
issue any battery that has been stored more than five days.
