Use the same criteria you used for the wire harness to figure
box. Since the pin connectors attach to the component, they
have a "J" designation. Examine the connectors on the power
distribution box. You should find connectors J1 and J2 have
male pins, and J4, J5, and J6 have female pin connectors.
strips, contacts, relay winding terminals, and circuit
breakers.

Test points.
Use appendix A to locate the symbol for a
test point and then examine the power distribution box.
You should find eight test points numbered 8, 9, 26, and
28 through 32.
--
Bus strips.
The schematic has the bus strips located on
the left side of the enclosure, with their designation
noted above them.
Of course, they use the same symbol
that you saw in the battery compartment and terminal board
enclosures.
To determine which bus strip the diagram
shows, use appendix A, which gives the bus number and its
function.
--
Contacts and relay winding terminals.
Examine the
enclosure closely. You should find two contacts and relay
coils, K1A and K2A.
The schematic shows the contacts
located above and below test point 8 and the replay coils
above test point 9.
Examine the symbol for the contacts closely and determine
if the contacts are normally open or closed.
In this
case, both contacts, K1A and K2A, are normally-open
contacts because they do not have a diagonal line through
them.

The diagram shows only those circuit
breakers that pertain to this circuit.
have the designation CB. In this case, the diagrams show
At the bottom of
the power distribution box enclosure, wire harness
2W102 connects to
the J4 connections. Below this connection, a note
refers you to the
diagram where this circuit continues. However, for
this lesson you
must continue to trace the circuit to the hull
networks box.
