Water Extractor and Spray Nozzle (fig. 1-23).
The system has the water extractor located in the bleed air system
downstream of the condenser prior to the turbine inlet duct (fig.
1-24).

Operation.
The ducting has the water extractor built in.
The water extractor consists of a triple section of ducting
with an opening between the inner and outer section.
The
extractor has a drain line that permits water to drain from
the duct.
The spray nozzle sprays the water on the inlet
duct of the heat exchanger to aid cooling (fig. 1-25).
Failure Mode. If the water extractor becomes clogged, the
system may deliver air with too much moisture to the
outlets.
