socket B; there must be approximately 22 ohms (Fig. 49). The resistance
must be the same between socket B and socket C. If the resistance is not
22 ohms, replace the directional control valve.

o Shut down the hydraulic system, disconnect the hydraulic oil
lines from the conveyor motor, install a tee connector and
pressure gage between the oil line, and start the primary or
backup hydraulic system (Fig. 40F). Set the conveyor switch to
the OFF position. The pressure gage should indicate 0 psi. If
pressure is indicated, replace the conveyor directional control
valve.

o Shut down the hydraulic system, insert the handcrank in the
conveyor, and manually operate the conveyor system.
If the
conveyor does not move easily one full cycle in both directions,
you must check the sprocket coupling chain.
If the system
operates in both directions, continue to troubleshoot the system.
