Crew AFES Cylinder Bottles (Vehicles 345 and above).
o Inspect electrical wiring and connectors for serviceability.
o Inspect mounting bracket straps and hex nuts for serviceability.
o Inspect cylinder bottle exterior for dents and proper preservation.
o Have bottles recharged if necessary.
After the crew AFES cylinder bottles are inspected and faults corrected, the
cylinder bottles are ready for INSTALLATION.
For vehicle series 1 through 344, carefully place each cylinder bottle
assembly (Items 1, 2, 4, and 12, Figure 17) into their respective brackets.
For vehicle series 345 and above, carefully place each cylinder bottle
assembly (Items 1, 2, 4, 12, 13, and 14, Figure 18) into their respective
brackets. Now secure the cylinder bottles by tightening the two hex nuts to
the retaining straps (Items 10 and 11, Figures 17 and 18).
