TESTING CIB CABLE CX304.
(a) Removing the STE from the Vehicle Distribution Box. To remove
the STE from the vehicle distribution box (VDB), first set the CIB ON/OFF
switch to the OFF position. Then pull the VTM circuit breaker to OFF. Now
place the vehicle MASTER POWER switch to the OFF position.
Remove plug
CX1203P1 from jack 1A1J14 (DCA 3) on the VDB.
Install the cap on jack
1A1J14 (DCA 3). Then remove plug CX306P1 from CX1203 connector P2.
(b) Removing the STE from the Diagnostic Panel. To remove the STE
open the turret shield door and place the vehicle MASTER POWER switch to the
OFF position. Now remove plug CX306P1 from jack J1 on the diagnostic panel.
Then remove the test equipment from the turret. Install the center turret
floor plate; follow the procedures on page 4-22 of TM 9-2350-252-20-2-2.
When the STE has been disconnected by one of the two methods described
above, remove plug CX306P2 from CIB jack J5.
Remove and stow all test
cables and adapters that may have been used during the vehicle testing
procedures. Remove plug W1P2 from CIB jack J4 and plug W1P1 from VTM jack
J1.
Remove the SETCOM from VTM jack J2; then, remove the test equipment
from the vehicle and stow the various STE components in their transit cases.
