Step 8.
With the STE properly hooked up to the vehicle, the self-test can be
performed.
The procedures for performing the STE self-test will be covered in
paragraph 5, beginning on page 110.

Removing the STE.
Once the test set has been hooked up, the self-test and
required vehicle tests can be performed. During testing, all message word numbers
referred to by the STE-M1/FVS SETCOM should be written down. After the STE-M1/FVS
has been removed from the vehicle, refer to the message words called out during the
test and return the equipment to its original configuration.
To remove the STE,
perform the following steps:

(1) To remove the STE from the vehicle distribution box, set the CIB ON/OFF
Next, turn the MASTER
POWER switch OFF.
Remove plug CX1203P1 from jack 1A1J14 (DCA 3) on the vehicle
distribution box.
Install the cap on jack 1A1J14 (DCA 3).
Then, remove plug
CX306P1 from CX1203 connector P2.
