c. Inspecting the Controllable Interface Box for Serviceability.
Next, the Controllable interface box (CIB) (figure 48 on the
following page) is checked for serviceability.
(1) Look at connectors J1, J32, J3, J4, and J5 on the CIB.
Check for bent or broken pins, dented or cracked shells, and dirt.
(2) Make sure the power (PWR) switch operates freely.
(3) Set the power (PWR) switch to OFF.
d. Inspecting the Test Cables and the NATO Adapter for
Serviceability. The following checks should be made to determine the
serviceability of the test cables and NATO adapter:
(1) Make sure that cables CX309, W1, and CX306 are not cut or
badly frayed.
