TEST CABLES AND ADAPTERS ASSEMBLY.
a. Inspect the Vehicle Test Meter (VTM) for Serviceability. The
first inspection step is to check the VTM (figure 46 on the following
page) for serviceability.
(1) Look at J1, J2, J3, and J4 on the VTM.
Check for bent or
broken pins, dented or cracked shells, and dirt.
(2) Check the display window for cracks.
(3) Make sure that the VTM circuit breaker, TEST SELECT, and
TEST switches operate freely.
(4) Pull the circuit breaker switch to the OFF position.
