g. G1 Modulating Regulator Valve Body (fig. 1-22).
Located on
the top of the main control valve body assembly, this valve contains
the front pitot modulating regulator.
The front pitot modulating
regulator valve body consists of a regulator and relief valve in a
bore.
Applying G1 governor pressure directly to the two equal areas in the
center of valve stabilizes the oil pressure flowing through the
valve.
Hydraulic pressure directed to either end of the valve
affects the flow of the pressure through the valve. Pressure flowing
through the valve decreases when applying first clutch pressure to
the left end, and pressure increases when applying shift signal
pressure to the right end.

h. Lockup Clutch Cutoff Valves (fig. 1-23).
Each of the three
lockup clutch cutoff valves consists of a valve in a bore.
The
lockup clutch cutoff valves move in their bores in response to
individual clutch pressure.
The valves delay pressure momentarily
and allow pressure to charge the lockup feed lines by exhausting
clutch pressure on one end of a valve and exerting another clutch
pressure through an orifice on the opposite end.
