main scavenging pump scavenges the brake pockets during operation,
and the input scavenging pump scavenges the input module during
operation. Both pumps discharge back to the reservoir.

Major Components of the Hydraulic System.
The following paragraphs describe the major
components of the
X1100-3B
transmission
hydraulic
system
and
their
operational
characteristics.
a. Main Oil Filter Assembly.
This full flow filter assembly
mounts directly to the transmission input module and consists of a
assembly with a pressure differential switch.
The oil filter assembly filters oil from the main oil pump through a
replaceable, 25 micron filter element.
When the differential
pressure across the filter reaches an unacceptable level, a warning
light in the driver's compartment signals that the filter requires
replacement.
