b. Operators are responsible for performing daily preventive maintenance
and for assisting organizational maintenance men in performing scheduled periodic
services. Before-, during-, and after-operation preventive maintenance checks are
detailed in figure 7. Figure 8 details the operator's troubleshooting
responsibilities. Operators are not supplied repair parts, so most malfunctions
are referred to organizational maintenance personnel for correction.
