The basic purpose, performance, and
special limitations of the M934 and M935 expansible vans are the
same, except that the M935 uses a rear hydraulic liftgate for loading
and unloading.

(2) Purpose
of
the
Vehicle.
M934
and
M935
expansible
vans transport electronic base stations into the field.
In the
traveling position, van truck bodies are 17 feet long x 8 feet
wide. Once in the field, the sides are expanded to a width of nearly
14 feet.
They may serve as communications stations or electronic
equipment repair stations. The vans are designed to carry up to 5,000
pounds of equipment into the field and up to 15,000 pounds
