replacement of the defective VENT BLOWER switch. The following paragraphs
describe the repair of the frayed wire and damaged female connector, at the
accessories panel, which would be repaired prior to reinstallation of the
accessories panel on the vehicle mounting.
(3) Removal of Defective Female Wire Connector.
Step 1. Clean the harness of dirt and other foreign matter, and inspect for
wear and other damage.
Step 2.
Disconnect the female-type cable connector (refer back to figure
41, view C, on page 90) from the male connector.
Step 3.
Cut the damaged female connector from the wiring harness and
discard.
(4) Installation of Female Wire Connector.
Step 1. Strip the cable insulation from the end and back along the length
of the wire, exposing it an equal amount to the depth of the terminal well.
Step 2. Procure a new female connector and slide the shell and sleeve over
the cable.
Step 3.
Insert the exposed end of the cable into the terminal well and
crimp the
terminal end over the wire securing it to the wire. Soldering of
the cable
wire to the connector can be done by using the procedure described
in TB SIG
- 222.
Step 4. Slide the shell and sleeve over the terminal and connect the female
connector to the male connector.

included describing the construction, maintenance, operation, capabilities,
repair, and troubleshooting of the M88A1 auxiliary power unit (APU); and the
construction, operation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of the
M88A1 electrical system.
