holes. If any tears or holes are found, replace it with a new one.
Step 11. Reinstall the filter element and hand tighten the four wing nuts
(1) (figure 17, view A, on page 39).
Step 12. Reset the air filter restriction gage by pressing the top of the
gage (1) (figure 17, view B).
(b) Replacement of the Right Side Air Intake Hose.
Step 1. To permit access for the removal and installation of the right side
air intake hose, the auxiliary power unit (APU) (figure 26, view A, on the
following page) must first be removed; however, the removal and installation
of the APU is a function of the supporting intermediate direct support (IDS)
unit.
The using unit is not authorized to remove and install the APU.
Coordination, therefore, must be effected by the using unit with the
supporting IDS unit for the accomplishment of this function. Assuming that
removal of the APU has already been accomplished by the supporting IDS, the
replacement of the right side air intake hose is described in the following
paragraphs.
Step 2. Remove the two screws and lockwashers from the strap and bracket
(figure 26, view B) that hold the air duct in place on the right side of the
engine.
Step 3. Loosen the two hose clamps, one on each end of the air duct (figure
26, view B), and remove the air duct from the right side of the engine.
Step 4.
Loosen the two hose clamps (figure 26, view C), and remove the
damaged horizontal air intake hose from the air duct elbow.
