view B) between track support rollers. Look for track sag, which causes the
track to dip toward the support roller hub center line midway between two
consecutive support rollers. When a track shoe appears out of line (figure
6, view B, on the following page) it indicates a dead shoe or damaged track
pin bushing. Check for dead track by driving the vehicle slowly forward and
watching for the dead link, which will fall below the level of the other
links.
