MAIN HYDRAULIC PUMP.
(a) When the main hydraulic pump is removed, removal procedures
should be followed as given in TM 10-3930-242-12 & 34.
All lines
should be capped.
(b) Once the pump has been removed and disassembled, the parts
should be cleaned and the following components should be inspected:
1 The bearings, for roughness, looseness and wear.
2 The shafts, for scratches, nicks and worn areas.
3 The rotors, for scored areas and for wear and other damage.
4 All remaining component parts for wear and damage.
Replace
all seals, packing, and defective parts during reassembly.
