Inspecting the Set Communicator (SETCOM) for
Serviceability.
The next
inspection step is to check the set communicator
(SETCOM)(figure
15 on the
following page) for serviceability.
Step 1.
Check the display window on the SETCOM for cracks.
Step 2.
Look at the keys, checking for cracked or missing keys.
Step 3.
Ensure that the cable is Dot cut or frayed.
Step 4.
Check the connector for bent or broken pins, a dented or cracked shell,
and for dirt.
