Introduction
The fire control system on the Bradley fighting vehicle is the
sighting and weapons system that allows the crew to attack or defend
designed to provide the crew with efficient assault features to
defeat enemy armored vehicles, low-flying aircraft, gun emplacements,
and other similar targets.
Maintaining the vehicle's fire control
system is an important part of the Bradley Fighting Vehicle Systems
Mechanic's job.
This subcourse will provide a description of the boresighting
procedures for the five main components of the fire control system
and will explain the procedures for performing three tests on fire
in lesson 1 that addresses boresighting procedures.
Lesson 2 will
deal with tests on fire control system components using the STE-M1/
FVS simplified test equipment.
