d. Decal Replacement.
Decals may be replaced as follows:
Removal.

Carefully peel decal from mounting surface.

Remove adhesive residue with methyl alcohol.
Replacement.
--
Peel protective backing from decal.
--
Properly position on mounting surface, press firmly in
place.
Troubleshooting the LR Test Set at the organizational level consists
of performing the operational procedures listed under OPERATION (page
7). If a malfunction occurs, refer to the indicated troubleshooting
procedure and perform the corrective action indicated on the table
(figure 1-4).
For malfunctions requiring maintenance beyond the
scope of the organizational level, send the LR Test Set to direct
support maintenance.
PART B - FUNCTIONAL ANALYSIS OF THE LR TEST SET
This part of the lesson shows location and reference designators of
the assemblies and components of the LR Test Set.
It provides a
functional description and basic circuit analysis of the LR Tester.
Figures 1-9 and 1-11, along with their accompanying legends, identify
external and internal parts location.

Controls.
NOTE:
Optical pulses transmitted by the LR Tester are from a low
level light source.
The MODE switch S1 (figure 1-9, item 17) is a five position rotary
switch that selects the type of optical pulse transmission when the
LR is being tested. The five modes are:
1 TGT mode - The LR Tester transmits a single optical pulse
for each received optical pulse to test the LR ranging
function.
2 TGT mode - The LR Tester transmits a pair of optical pulses
for each received optical pulse to test the LR multiple target
function.
RCVR 1 PULSE mode - The LR Tester generates and transmits
optical pulses at a rate of 50 PPS.
