Step 3. In this Step he is directed to replace the DLPG/VNPG gage(s)
if the problem still exists. Since the problem does still exist, SGT
Rude will replace both the DLPG and the VNPG gages following the
procedures contained in the following paragraphs.
(2) Repair Procedures. In the subparagraphs that follow, the removal
and installation procedures for both the DLPG and the VNPG gages will
be discussed. Prior to beginning the repair procedure, SGT Rude reads
through the Initial Setup section to determine the necessary tools and
equipment needed to do the task. For this task, he will only need a
mechanic's general toolbox and a tube of pipe thread sealing compound.
After the necessary tools and equipment have been gathered, SGT Rude
is ready to begin the actual maintenance procedure.
