Mechanical Systems Troubleshooting Procedures
and their components, let's move on to the troubleshooting procedures
for these systems.
In the following paragraphs, we will cover ten
different
malfunctions
that
may
occur
in
the
vehicle;
two
malfunctions for each of the five major systems will be discussed.
The first system discussed will be the engine.
Throughout the
troubleshooting procedures covered in the following paragraphs, the
reference "the TM" will indicate TM 9-2320-280-20, unless otherwise
stated.
However, before beginning the troubleshooting procedures for the

Rule 1.
Question the operator to obtain any information that might
help you determine the cause of the malfunction.

Never overlook the chance that the problem could be of
simple origin.

Rule 7.
After completing the troubleshooting and making the
necessary corrections, verify that the malfunction has been corrected
and that no additional malfunctions exist.
