(2) Yellow Zone. Indicates normal battery voltage with the engine
off. Indicates generator not charging with the engine running.
(3) Green Zone.
Indicates generator charging normally with the
engine running.
(4) Right Red Zone.
Indicates generator overcharging with the
engine running.

Batteries. To remove the vehicle batteries, first, ensure that
the engine is stopped.
If the vehicle is the infantry fighting
vehicle (IFV) version of the BFV, stow squad seat number four. After
squad seat number four has been stowed, stow the driver's seat.
With the seats stowed, remove the vehicle ground cable.
To remove
the vehicle ground cable, first move the FIRE SUPPRESSION switch to
the MANUAL position. Then remove the lock screw (3) (figure 1 on the
following page}, lock washer (4), washer (5), and electrical lead
1W16E2 (1) from the vehicle ground (2). Discard the lock washer and
the lock screw. Be sure to tape the end of the lead. This will aid
in easier identification when installing the vehicle ground cable.
Now remove the two battery compartment covers (6) (figure 2 on the
following page) from the battery compartments (7).
This is done by
unlatching the four latches (8) from the two covers; then remove the
two covers from the battery compartments.
