
You perform the ACTION steps listed in the ACTION column in the
order listed.

When  you  perform  the  ACTION  step,  you  observe  for  the  NORMAL
INDICATION.
If the indication is normal, you proceed to the next
step.  If you do NOT get this indication, perform the lettered steps
under CORRECTIVE ACTION.
The CORRECTIVE ACTION steps lead you to
the faulty component.  After repairing the LD/R, perform the entire
LD/R test procedure to ensure the repair and to assure that no
additional problems exist.
The following paragraphs briefly describe the 12 test procedures in the
order you will perform them.
a. LD/R Test Setup.  Perform the initial test setup before commencing
the test and troubleshooting process.
You must complete the initial test
setup except the LD/R purge and fill procedure.  (Perform the purge and fill
procedure if for some reason the cooling module has been depressurized or if
the LD/R purge and fill interval has been exceeded.)
The steps below describe the procedures for the initial test setup.  Figure
1-16 illustrates the test equipment setup.  The initial test setup includes
instructions for connecting the test equipment and performing the self-test
on the fault locator.
NOTE:
Mounted Avionics Electronic Shop Shelter AN/ASM-146C is equipped
with  a  safety interlock system which disables  the  G/VLLD laser
whenever the shelter door is opened.  The safety interlock disables
the laser by removing the AC input power from the external power
supply that powers the G/VLLD.
To reset the safety interlock, close the shelter door and press the
push switch.
HP Power Supply Model 6268B10-026 is recommended for use in this
procedure.  If using the HP Power Supply, refer to TM 9-4931-477-14
for  additional  information,  controls,  indicators,  and  operating
instructions.
Perform the fault locator test before testing the LD/R to ensure
that the fault locator is working properly.  Refer to TM 9-4931-477-
14, Operating Instructions.
