During the test procedure, several pathways develop
depending on the results obtained for individual tests
Not all pathways will be covered in this
subcourse. One typical pathway will be used as an example.
When actually performing the test on the vehicle, be sure
to have TM 9-2350-252-20-2-1 on hand and respond to the
actual test results observed during testing.
Preparing for Test 2525.
Before beginning to run test 2525 on the turret
drive power, make sure that the engine is stopped, the turret is shut down, and the
weapons are unloaded and safe. Then perform these initial steps:
Hook up the STE-M1/FVS test set to the turret diagnostic panel.
Perform the STE self-test.
If any faults are found during the STE self-test, refer to the symptom
index table in TM 9-4910-751-14-1, page 5-1.
If no faults are found during the STE self-test, begin running test
Running Test 2525.
To run test 2525, enter 2525 on the SETCOM and wait
for the SETCOM response.
If the SETCOM displays a cable instruction message word number, refer to
the message word number index found on page 3-553 of TM 9-2350-252-20-2-1 and
follow the SETCOM instructions.
Assume, however, for the purposes of this
subcourse, that the SETCOM does not display a cable instruction message word
If the SETCOM displays a fault message, it would be necessary to refer to
the fault number index found on page 3-605 of TM 9-2350-252-20-2-1.
assume again that no fault message is displayed.
