Dress the cables in the chassis and cable tie with twine.
3-31. Cushion removal/replacement.
Refer to figure 1-9.
WARNING
Never  use  cleaning  materials  in  a  closed,  or
poorly aired work area or near a fire or open
flame.  Avoid touching skin with cleaning fluid.

Removal.
--
Using  a  knife,  scrape  off  the  damaged  cushion  in  the
compartment (1 or 5).
--
Remove any remaining cushion material and gum with solvent
Unresolve Plus.
--
Clean the area for cushion seating with isopropyl alcohol
TT-I-735.

Replacement.
--
Cut the cushion material, (silicon sponge rubber, self-
adhering, black, R-10470, medium grade 0.12 in. thick) to
the required size.
--
Peel off the paper backing, seat, and press the cushion
into the compartment (1 or 5).
3-32. EMI Gasket removal/replacement.

Removal.
Refer to figure 1-26.
--
Using a knife, scrape off damaged gasket.
--
Remove any remaining gasket material  and adhesive with
MEK, TT-M-261 and air dry.

Replacement.
--
Apply a thin coat of adhesive (EC 1357) to the surface
area where the gasket is to be laid.
NOTE:
Install the gasket and let cure for 12 hours.
