b. Initial Tests.
To
begin
the
task
of
testing
or
troubleshooting the fire suppression system, it is necessary to
perform a few simple tests.
The results of these tests will help
determine whether a malfunction exists in the system, and which
troubleshooting pathway must be followed.

STE-M1/FVS TEST NUMBER 67.
(1) Hook Up the STE-M1/FVS (VTM only) Test Set. Before testing
or troubleshooting the fire suppression system can begin, the STE-
M1/FVS (VTM only) must be hooked up to the vehicle at jack 1AJ14 (DCA
3).
Use the procedures described in lesson 2 task 1 on page 31 of
this subcourse.
