Area of Triangles

The area of a triangle is expressed by the formula A (area) = 1/2bh,
when b is the base and h is the altitude. When two sides and included angle
are given (figure 28, view B), the area can be obtained from the following
formula, where h and a are the sides and C is the angle:
Thus, the area of the triangle may be written:
