Law of Tangents
When the sides of a triangle are expressed in several figures, it is more
efficient to use the following formula:
which is known as the "law of tangents"; a and b are any two sides.
A and B
are the angles opposite those sides.
EXAMPLE
Find angles A and B in figure 28, view A (on the following page) using the
Law of tangents.
